Have you ever thought that a leaflet can be one of the most important of all your marketing materials?
It is a simple piece of paper but the first impact that your booklet makes is important. If it’s shabby and unappealing your prospect is left with the same opinion. This will slow your business growth.
Having a brochure professionally designed and printed is a key to winning in a crowded market. Taking the time to make sure that your pamphlet delivers all the key data in a way that is easily understood is something that only a professional can do.
If you are just getting started in business you may be tempted to do your leaflet yourself. When I first started in business I did everything myself – not a excellent choice. That is why it took me 12 years before I was even relatively prosperous. Heed my warning – go professional from day one on your marketing materials. They are an investment and not an expense. Professionally designed materials will deliver you customers and the cash flow to follow – the reason why you are in business.
A brochure has to use eye-catching design. It has to be succinct in terms of the content and last but not the least, it must be successful in enticing people to make that call of action.
Here are three key design rules to follow when producing a booklet. Use them and you will see your results flow.
1. The cover:
The cover is your salesperson. Brochures are quite passive tools and you are not often able to ‘walk’ individuals through your brochure. So you need to arouse people to read further. The cover is the beginning point so must be inviting and sharing the KEY values of WHY someone should read further. It should answer the WIFM question – What’s in it for me.
A good design company will show you at least three to four cover designs for your pamphlet. Analyse these designs to examine which excites you the most. Ask your acquaintances their impression. Does the cover answer the question WIFM? If it doesn’t arouse and answer the WIFM question, then skip to another design that works or get it redesigned. Taking the time here to get it right will pay bounties later.
2. The Content:
Once they are past the cover then the content has to become the salesperson. So once again, the pressure is on to be great. Do not opt for cheap inept content writers or ask the designer to write the content or worst still do it yourself. Instead make sure that a professional copywriter is doing the work. If your design company does not have a copywriter then engage one yourself.
Check Out that all the main questions that a potential customer will have about your product are answered in a way that gets them to call you for more information. Do not go into ‘overkill mode’ and inundate them with too much information at this point in time. Remember the brochure’s job is to energize and get people to call you.
3. The call for action:
If your future client has read the booklet then you have done a great job. All you need to do now is give them a compelling reason to contact you NOW.
Having things like a free call 0800 or’00 number distinctly presented (in big letters) can make a important difference. Having an email address is a clear bonus. Make sure these two are distinctly placed in large clear type.
Even give your clients a special coupon on the brochure or reference code can help. But above all, make sure that you add a clear call to action. One way to do this is to readdress the KEY value of your service to your prospect in a way that will get them to take action. Remember value is everything. People only purchase something that is of value to THEM.
4. The bit that got forgotten:
I did this on purpose and only said there were three points. Well the final point is the one that can get omitted. It is the ‘dummy’ one. Have you checked that you have these on your leaflet:
Phone number | Fax number | Email address | Web address | Country of operation | City / area of operation | Company name | And have you proof read for typo and grammar errors?

Graphic design’s importance in a catalog is great as it acts every bit like an efficacious salesman. A potential customer can take his time to deliberate upon purchasing a specific article after having discussed with his friends and family by making use of it. Therefore printing and designing of the catalog should be attractive and compelling, so that customers find it interesting enough to think of making a purchase.
A catalog must not allow aspects like design and colour to outshine the description of products. Thus without any compromise, you should first focus on the colour scheme and layout of the main graphic components so that the product pictures in the catalog do not look trite to the consumer. Advanced graphic design software can help you work with different colours and shades, and their colour selection tools can help you choose the colour palette that you find most convenient to work with.
The second thing you have to concentrate your attention on is the text layout of the catalog. Graphics tools also allow you to see how various fonts and colour schemes will look on a catalog to make it more attractive. You should keep in mind while incorporating text that it must include all the main advantages of the products, but this data must be presented in a precise manner.
Adding design elements to the catalog must be he next in line after the preliminary layout with text and pictures is decided. Graphic design that is modern and smart makes the catalog visually attractive to customers and increases their interest in the products on display. You may either appoint a professional designer to obtain such enhanced designs or if you have the creative talent in you, then you can try it out yourself as well.
Graphic design software come with specific pre designed elements that can be effectively used to design your catalog with comfort and convenience. This will enable you to create designs of superior quality with minimum effort.
Once the aforesaid steps have been followed, you would need a good printing company to print the required amount of copies of the catalog for handing out to customers. You can let a designer from the printing company recommend some final improvements on the catalog that you have made, as an expert’s suggestion always helps to improve the results. Moreover, he can also let you know if the design would come out as well as it looks on a computer monitor.

OK, you’re ready to take your company to the next level and your CFO and legal counsel have advised you to go public to raise capital as well as to retain some of those prize employees with stock options and to bait that new sales executive with a signing bonus made up of stock options. You’ve looked into everything from pink sheets to reverse mergers to OTCBB to IPO and you have come to the conclusion you’re going to need to take on investors so that you can afford to follow through with your plan. If you’re lacking the funds to dive right in and start creating your public structure, here is a way that just about any business can afford to go public.
First, get a real business plan. Your business plan needs to sizzle and reel in the investor and clearly paint a picture of your vision to the investor and their advisors. Next, you’ll want to raise an initial round of cash quickly so that you can afford to take your company public without hindering your current company structure with additional ancillary costs. You’re going to need something fast and affective; you should consider having a professionally authored private placement memorandum put together for your company.
If you are trying to go public via OTCBB a Regulation D Rule 504 exemption will suffice, if you are trying to achieve an IPO you’ll need to go with a Regulation D Rule 505 exemption (pink sheets and reverse mergers into shell corps are not very successful in immediate and long term success so I would suggest you stay away from these structures). Build into the PPM verbiage that you are raising an initial round of capital that will be used to take your company public. When savvy investors see that they are investing in a real, viable pre-IPO or pre-OTCBB formation you will see investors climbing out of the woodwork to give you cash if your business concept is sound.
Next you hire the consultants (usually the same firm that wrote your PPM) to start the process of taking you public. On the PPM your Mini/Maxi should allow you to use capital almost immediately to get the ball rolling on your public company. You can count on a solid OTCBB going for between $75k and $250k and an IPO going for $1M+ so have your PPM written accordingly. If you follow the path set forth above you will notice something extraordinary.
The only out of pocket expense you had was for your Private Placement Memorandum (and your business plan if you didn’t have one) and 100% of the capital needed to go public was supplied by greedy investors who are excited to invest because of the quick payoff of their investment when you go public. This process means you can literally take your company public for less than $5,000 (the typical cost of a strategic Private Placement Memorandum. This is a simple, strategic and inexpensive way to get the capital you need for your company quickly, without using your limited financial resources in the process.

One way to help boost your results in the search engines for a specific keyword is to build a link wheel around the webpage you want to give a boost. You do this by writing six articles that you can position on social media and other websites and link back to your page and one of the other six articles inside of each of them.
When you are building your link wheel, you will have an article or webpage at the center of the wheel that is the target of your link building efforts. This is the page you want to rank well in the search engines. Now imagine there are six spokes coming out from the center article. These spokes each have another article at the end of them. Each of these articles links back to the center article and also to the next article along the outside of the wheel.
You can draw a diagram to represent the wheel if it helps you understand which articles link where. The main article should be placed in the center of your page, with six spokes radiating out from it. At the end of each spoke, write the name of the article you will be targeting in your link wheel. Now connect each of the outside articles to the one next to it by drawing a line. To make the picture clearer, make the spokes into arrows pointing toward the center and the outside lines into arrows that move all the way around the circle. These arrows show which articles link to what.
The articles that you use for the outside of the wheel should be published on social media sites or other sites that allow you to post your own content, such as Hubpages, Squidoo, Ezine Articles and Blogger. Make sure you add two links into each article or into the resource box for the article. They should all link back to your main webpage and each one should also link to the next one of the articles on the outside of the wheel.
These articles do not need to be unique. They do not even need to be very good, although they shouldn’t be total crap. You can use one article to build your wheel. Just rewrite it a little bit each time so they are not exactly the same. The only page that needs to be completely different is the one at the center of the wheel.
You do need to make sure you use the keyword you want to target as the link text, though. This is very important. You are trying to get your page to rank higher in the search engines for a certain keyword phrase. Using that phrase as the link text will help you to rank better for that keyword.
Your link wheels can be a lot more involved than the example given above. You can use any number of articles around the outside spoke, although six is a good place to start for a minimum. You can also expand the wheel by building supplementary wheels around the outside articles. Build it up slowly, though. Your webpage could get dropped from the search engine results temporarily if you set up too many backlinks in a short period of time, and that would defeat the purpose of building the wheel.
Take advantage of a Link Wheel to grow your business. You can get ways to building a Link Wheel that are easy to do. Gaining you more customers and more sales now!

Many successful internet sites count on returning visitors to account for a major part of their dealings. Returning visitors are easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a web site, the more they have in that website. The credibility subject just melts away. Thus, keep your visitors coming back to your web site with the following methods:
1) Begin a forum, chat room or shoutbox
When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are rendering your visitors a place to voice their views and interact with their peers — all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also succeed and your visitors will come back to your web site almost religiously every day.
2) Start a network log (blog)
Keep an online journal, or more generally known as a blog, on your internet site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes pasted to the monitor if you post latest news oftentimes. You will also build up your credibility as you are showing to them that there is also a real life person behind the website.
3) Carry out opinion polls or reviews
and surveys are other forms of interaction that you should definitely consider adding to your web site. They provide a quick way for visitors to voice their beliefs and to get interested in your internet site. Be particular to publish opinion polls or views that are powerfully relevant to the target market of your site to keep them occupied to find out about the outcomes.
4) Hold puzzles, tests and games
Just think how many office workers dilly-dally at work every day, and you will be able to gauge how many individuals will keep seeing your site if you provide a very fascinating or addicting way of entertainment. You can also hold contests to award the high score winner to keep people trying continuously to earn the prize.
5) Update oftentimes with fresh subject
Update your internet site frequently with fresh message so that every time your visitors come back, they will have something to understand on your internet site. This is the most widely known and most effective method of attracting returning visitors, but this is also the least carried out one because of the laziness of webmasters. No one will want to browse a internet site that looks the same over ten years, so keep your web site updated with fresh bites!

To give an example, Google is of course an internationally renowned search engine. But, the search result that it provides in the United Kingdom and in the United States is markedly different.
In fact, Google is one of the search engines that stress much on the relevance. For this, they don’t show the same thing to the US and UK users. For, there is no point in doing that. To this end, Google puts so much of importance to the local search engine optimization. Thanks to this, your local website will have to compete with companies that are dealing in that same area. Now, if you are looking for the local SEO, there are certain things that you have to keep in mind. When it comes to your website, extra attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose. Here are five important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs well.
1) No for Splash Pages
The splash pages are the so-called gates of the website. In here you’ll see fancy effects, such as moving pictures with audio, or a video. Most of all, the visitor needs to click on “Enter” or “Welcome”, to be able to see the contents of the site. If the page takes time to load, this might be a reason for your reader to just click back instead. People want the info up front and quick.
2) A Huge NO for excessive banner advertisements
Excessive banner ads can turn-off even the least net savvy users. Therefore, enrich your website with valuable content. Make most of your page space, by putting articles, journals, or tips that your readers could make use of, and just inject a few affiliate links. Readers don’t want to be pushed on buying. Hence, make them feel that they want to buy.
3) Navigation should be simple and clear
You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered dropdown menus. If your visitors don’t know how to navigate, they will leave your site.
4) Have a clear indication of where the user is
Similar when you are on a grocery shop, you want signage. You should allow your readers to easily go to the different parts of your website. Put a sign on where they currently are, and put links to other parts of your site. The browsing experience should be easy, if not, they will abandon your site.
5) Avoid using audio on your site
If your visitor is going to stay a long time at your site, reading your content, you will want to make sure they’re not annoyed by some audio looping on and on on your website. If you insist on adding audio, make sure they have some control over it — volume or muting controls would work fine.

When you are on the web, you usually do a whole bunch of things. Some of these include submitting forms, doing searches and clicking on links. You may not realize it but all of these activities involve use of resources that are usually contained in a web server. Even a simple retrieving of a home page requires that the web browser that you are using request it from a web browser.
Generally, these types of requests where a web browser requests for a resource and the web server responds with it is called a two-tier architecture. This is a simple request-response action since there is no sophisticated storage software involved. However, there comes a time when complicated operations that involve dynamic data will be undertaken. In such cases, a separate database to handle these requests will be used.
When a web browser requests a resource and the server response is generated from a database, such an architecture is called a three-tier architecture. Whenever access database requests are made, the web browser must first communicate with the server which in turn, communicates with the database management system that retrieves the requested data. The database management system is used to manage all the data that is created, modified, queried or deleted by users.
Whenever you access database information, you will need to have your web server process your requests that are implemented using scripts. This organization allows access database requests from thousands of users to be done simultaneously. For efficiency, many websites implement the web server and the database server on separate machines. In more advanced and high-end applications the load is further distributed by use of many machines.
The web today allows the use of the HTTP protocol to access database information. HTTP is conceptually simple. A request made in HTTP receives a response from the web server. The response is usually a HTML document, an image or a program output that is sent back to the web browser. When you access database servers, you will usually be either requesting from entry information that is cataloged or you will be making changes to the entries themselves. Despite their seemingly complex nature, database management systems offer users application interfaces to do that. It is usually not necessary to make internal configurations to the database server. In most cases, this will be done right on the web browser. So when you access database information the next time you are on the web, you may likely be doing that via a number of machines. Quite amazing, is it not?

Banks and hedge funds have dried up. Scams like shelf corporations and platform based funding are on the rise so where can an entrepreneur turn to raise capital? It’s sad to be faced with the reality that legitimate fund raising methods have fallen into a minority position in today’s depressed economy.
Company owners still need expansion capital, start-up companies need seed capital, how can the owners of these companies bypass the learning curve set in place by the online scammers and find the legitimate ways of raising capital? There are two solid ways of raising capital that are supported by the SEC and can have you raising capital without the drawbacks of dealing with people that just want to take your money and run, Private Placement Memorandums and OTCBB.
1st, Private Placement Memorandums allow the business to raise capital under the umbrella of three Regulation D rule exemptions: 504, 505 and 506. Also referred to as a PPM or Offering Memorandum, a Private Placement Memorandum allows you to raise capital, legitimately with an SEC supported and approve process that uses the laws pivoting off of the’33 Securities Act that helps entrepreneurs raise capital legitimately and safely. All are protected with a well written PPM.
If you’re looking to raise capital in more of a ‘public’ setting, check out the almighty OTCBB (over the counter bulletin boards), be careful on this one, there are several consultants and broker dealers that will take your money and walk away while you stand there with an entity that is, umwell, worthless. For an otcbb to be successful you need the back end support and ongoing consulting assistance of people that are completely submerged in the industry and know their way around so they can guide you around the trouble makers and into a world of massive corporate growth and funding nirvana.
If you are looking for real, honest, fast acting funding solutions the private placement memorandum and the OTCBB are your safest bet. Steer clear from the bogus formations such as shelf corps and platform and leased instrument based funding, they will only result in losing time and hard earned cash for your company.
